How to Defy Gravity with Water

In this experiment, we are going to Defy the power of gravity, yes and what is more amazing is that you will Defy Gravity with water.👇

What you need

• A glass with a smooth surface
• A picture Postcard or the book cover of a hard cover note
• Water

What to do

1. Fill the glass with water
   
   
   
2. Carefully place the paper on the top of the glass while the glass is full 
3. While the palm of your hand is on the glass, turn the glass upside down gradually
   
   
   
4. Take your hand away from the card

What happens

The paper remains attached to the top of the glass and the water does not fall out.

Because

The air pressure exerted on the card from underneath is greater than the weight of the water inside the glass.
